First off I didn’t even know the little girl was 14 but I completely understand the little girl frustration. She have to take on a lot of responsibilities now that her mom is in the wheelchair and it probably is stressful.

I don't think he did a good job with them. I think technically he encouraged the rude young woman to think that her behavior towards her mother is an ok enough response to what ever she is feeling and then further tells the mother she has no right to feel disrespected even if the child blatantly disrespect her. The mother is hurt..physically and emotionally, she does not need to get beat down by her daughter verbally or otherwise. They all suffered that day of the shooting.
